As we prepare for the start of trial on February 5, 2007, we think it appropriate to send you a short compilation of Luis Enrique's own words:

 "We shall go to trial with our heads held high, confident that in court the truth will come out, that for various reasons, some have been able to conceal at the expense of irreparable damage to my creditors, their families, my brother, and to me, and our own families.

 I again reiterate my commitment to attend to my obligations with you when the moment permits, and as I have said, this will be at the end of the judicial process in which I expect victory.

 I am very grateful to God, to my lawyers and to you who have had faith in me, to all you have done for this cause until now.  Let us remain together in this effort.  Everything will turn out well.

 To those who filed legal actions against us, there is still time to withdraw these lawsuits and make this process much easier.

 I maintain trust in God and in the courts of the Republic that we will be shown to be correct, since all I did was receive loans, pay them punctually and work honestly for more than thirty years.

 With my utmost appreciation and consideration.  Psalm 23."

 And to Enrique, we respond:  Thank you for staying with us throughout this ordeal.  Better days are just ahead.
