Three weeks ago, we
expected a trial date within a week. We
are still waiting.
As we understand it, the most recent
delay relates to the paperwork involved
with the appeals that were filed at the
conclusion of the Intermediate Phase.
Apparently, not until every document in
that process is received by the Court's
Trial Coordinator, is the file
considered complete and ready for date
assignment.
So, we wait.
Of course, this reminds us yet again of
the harm and unnecessary delay those
individuals who filed against Osvaldo
have, and will continue to cause, in
this process. And it also reminds us,
as if we needed reminding, of the
inefficient legal system we have been
innocently thrown into.
Nevertheless, we wait.
We are advised that a written request
for a prompt trial date has or will be
presented this week by the defense, and
that a trial date can be expected any
day.
Don't hold your breath.
Of course, we will advise you as soon as
we know.
Thank you.
