As we
reported to you last night, the decision
ending the Intermediate Phase of the case
against Osvaldo Villalobos Camacho was
issued yesterday.
The resolution issued by Judge Castrillo
totals over 250 pages, and has been
forwarded to UCCR counselor, Jose Miguel
Villalobos, for his analysis and commentary.
The timing of the decision could have been
influenced by our petition of Habeas Corpus,
presented to the Constitutional Court on
July 1st and accepted by the same on July
7th. Regardless of the ultimate reason, we
move ahead.
We know that the main accusations by the
government remain to be resolved at trial,
as we expected. We also know that a good
number of the individual accusations by
creditors were rejected, and they have 8
days to appeal. Once those appeals, if any,
are considered, the stage is set for the
Oral and Public Trial to begin.
Another chapter ends and the next one
begins. Slowly, but surely, we approach the
end of this nightmare.
We will send you commentary from Jose Miguel
as soon as it becomes available.
Thank you
